Is washing using only water good for our skin?

Washing your skin with just water doesn’t harm your skin microbiome and is far better than using everyday cosmetics, but unfortunately it is not going to solve your skin problems…

In my last blog post I talked about how washing using just water itself is not bad for your skin, at all. I then get lots of questions asking me “So is just using water healthy for our skin?!”

So the video above explains my response to these questions!

There is something in our western environment causing huge amounts of skin problems – the skin allergy epidemic. This has led to a depletion of the skin microbiome’s biodiversity, meaning microbes which are crucial for skin health have been stripped from the skin, weakening its defences. Synthetic chemicals in everyday cosmetics were touted as one of the main causes, and through my research, I’ve made a first massive step to proving this!

Water alone is not good enough. It doesn’t damage the skin microbiome, but it doesn’t boost it either. Instead, we need ‘Third Wave Cosmetics’ which will enhance, protect and nourish the skin’s microbiome and increase its diversity. This is the only way to stop the Skin Allergy Epidemic.
