Carcinogen used by 53% of women

More than half of women in a new study unknowingly used beauty products containing cancer-causing chemicals.

A recent study found that 53% of women used cosmetics containing a known carcinogen.

The chemical in question? Formaldehyde, a preservative used in embalming fluid and disinfectant.

On average, the women also used 17 products (on average) every single day.

"It's really concerning that we are intentionally putting chemicals that release a carcinogen into our products that we apply to ourselves every day."

Hundreds more chemicals in everyday cosmetics

Formaldehyde is banned in the EU, but doesn’t have regulation in the USA.

The cosmetics used daily include soap, lotion, conditioner, and makeup, many of which contained carcinogens not clearly labeled due to complex chemical names.

And there are hundreds more chemicals in everyday cosmetics with no regulation that damage your body and Skin Microbiome.
