The Skin Microbiome Can Delay Tumour Growth

Microbes on the skin have "therapeutic potential" for a type of Skin Cancer

The skin microbiome could reduce inflammation and slow down skin cancer.

"...modulating microbiota.... restore[s] microbial balance by diminishing the numbers of pathogenic microbes,

which, in turn, reduces chronic inflammation, delays tumour growth, and increases survival rates..."

These are the findings from a new study by researchers at the Medical University of Graz.

We previously highlighted how damaged skin is now thought to be a major cause of the Chronic Disease Epidemic.

Could maintaining a healthy skin microbiome help ward off cancer?
